Distorted faces

The series explores the ideas of disrupted photographic images. Distorted faces investigate how images are reprocessed in the present society. Inspired by John Berger’s Ways of Seeing the classical beauty of portraits becomes after both analogue and digital manipulation a medium of studying and altering the layers of identity. The portraits are detailed reattempts of faces that can be understood as names of acts related to mental health and struggle.
